The Dewdney Avenue Corridor Revitalization is a two-year project transforming the Warehouse District into a safer, more vibrant space. Phase 2A begins April 7, 2025, focusing on surface work from Hamilton St. to Broad St. and wastewater sewer installations between McIntyre St. and Lorne St., including a sanitary casing under the CN railroad tracks.

Upcoming Work:

Wastewater Main Casing Installation under CN railroad tracks (McIntyre to Lorne)
Road Construction on the south side (Hamilton to Broad)
Street Light Updates – Pole removals (south side) & power cable installation (north side)

Construction Impacts:

Road Closures: Dewdney closed from Albert to Lorne & Scarth to Broad, with reduced-speed two-way traffic maintained between Lorne & Scarth.
Parking: Restricted along Dewdney; temporary parking at the Yards Site (access via Scarth) & taxi loading zone on Lorne St.
Transit: Routes temporarily relocated to 8th Avenue.
Pedestrian Access: North sidewalk remains open (Albert to Broad), with brief closures (<1 hour) from McIntyre to Lorne. Temporary crosswalks with flashing lights at Scarth.
